Your existing account

One Vitark identity.
One credit balance.

Use the same Google account or email and password you use with Vitark. Create a Vitark account before testing if you do not have one yet.

How research uses credits

MCP tool calls use your Vitark wallet. A question can involve several calls, such as a search followed by reading a judgment.

Ask the assistant to check your balance with get_credit_balance before a longer research session. The balance check is free.

Current rates: 0.20 credits for vitark_search, 0.10 credits for vitark_case_find and vitark_case_text, and free for get_credit_balance. The price Vitark shows at the time of use is the authoritative one if it differs.

Your Claude or ChatGPT subscription is separate from Vitark usage.

Research capabilities

Search. Read. Verify.

Search Indian law

Search judgments, tribunal decisions and statutory text. Narrow by the courts, dates and source types supported by the tools.

vitark_search

Find a known matter

Look up a case by the available identifiers or party details, and browse its metadata.

vitark_case_find

Read the source

Retrieve judgment text and explore related cases before relying on a passage in your answer.

vitark_case_text

Optional research skill

A repeatable way to research.

A skill teaches the assistant how to choose tools, check sources and cite carefully. The MCP connection gives it access to Vitark’s tools; the skill adds the research workflow.

Download the research skill

In Claude, open Customize → Skills and upload the ZIP. The skill uses your Vitark connection and its existing account. Connecting the server does not install it automatically.

The ChatGPT plugin will be available after its connection is registered and tested.

Connection help

Before you start.

Do I need an API key?

The personal connection uses Vitark sign-in through OAuth. You do not need to copy an ingestion API key or a shared server secret into Claude or ChatGPT.

Is this already listed in a directory?

This page covers a custom connection you add yourself. It does not represent an approved Claude or ChatGPT directory listing.

What if a connection stops working?

Sign-in renews in the background. Reconnect if your session expires. For repeated failures, contact ask@vitark.ai with the client name and error message. Do not send passwords or tokens.

What can the assistant see?

Tool calls send research requests to Vitark and return results to the connected AI service. Your use is subject to Vitark’s privacy policy and the AI provider’s terms. Review the source material before relying on an answer. You can end that access at any time by revoking the connection at app.vitark.ai/account.

How do I stop using the connection?

Revoke the connection first, at app.vitark.ai/account under Connected AI apps. That ends the server-side access straight away. Then remove or disable Vitark in your AI client’s connection settings. Removing it in the client alone leaves the connection live on our side until it expires. Contact ask@vitark.ai if you need help with account access.
