What you can do in the web app.
Ask in your own words
Type the question the way you would put it to a colleague. There is no search syntax to learn.
Read the answer first
Every memo opens with a short answer, then the full analysis, with counts of the cases and statutes behind it.
Check every case and statute
Each authority comes with its court, date and what was held, and opens to the full judgment. Statutes appear with their text.
Ask follow-ups
Narrow the question or test a distinction. The conversation opens beside the memo.
Find it again later
Chamber keeps every memo you have run. Search it, reopen a matter or download a PDF.
Look up any judgment
Case Lookup searches the court record directly by court, year, Act, judge, party or citation.

Questions about the web app.
Can I try Vitark for free?
Yes. Create an account and you get 3 free queries, with no card needed. You can buy credit packs when you want to run more research.
Can I go back to an earlier question?
Yes. Chamber keeps every memo you have run. Search for a matter, reopen its memo and carry on from there.
Can I read the judgments behind an answer?
Yes. Every case in a memo opens to its judgment, and Case Lookup lets you find any judgment directly. If a judgment’s text is incomplete, the reader says so.
Can I export my research?
Yes. Any memo can be downloaded as a PDF from the memo itself or from Chamber.
Is this a substitute for an advocate?
No. Vitark is a research tool. It shows you what courts have held and where. For advice on your own matter, consult a qualified advocate.

Legal research, connected
Welcome to Vitark. A focused workspace for legal research, case discovery, and the sources behind every question.
Start with a question
The research screen brings your questions and previous work together. Describe the legal issue in plain language, add the context that matters, and start your search.
Follow the research
Vitark shows its progress as it searches court records, retrieves relevant material, and prepares a research memo. We've shortened the waiting time in this walkthrough.
Read the structured memo
The completed memo begins with a concise overview, followed by the detailed analysis. Source counts and any coverage notices help you understand the scope of the research before you go deeper.
Inspect the sources
Switch to Cases to explore the authorities discussed in the memo. Each case brings its court, date, and relevant findings into view. Open the judgment to read the underlying record.
Review cited provisions
When the memo includes legislation, the Statutes tab collects the cited provisions. Read the source text and copy an available citation as you review the analysis.
Continue the conversation
A follow-up keeps the conversation connected to the memo. Ask for a distinction, explore a point in more detail, or narrow the question to the facts you are working with.
Go deeper, in context
The conversation stays beside your research, so you can read the answer and return to the original analysis without losing your place.
Return to your work
Chamber is your research library. Search saved memos, reopen an earlier matter, or use the PDF action to take a copy of the research with you.
Find a specific case
For direct discovery, open Case Lookup. Build a search with court, year, title, or more detailed filters such as an Act, a judge, or a party. Apply the filters to view matching records.
Read the record
Browse the results in date order and open a matter to inspect the judgment. The reader keeps the source close at hand, while the case list is one step away.
Manage your account
Your account brings profile details, WhatsApp access, and the credit balance into one place. Review the available controls here whenever you need to manage your access.
Connected tools and usage
The connections and usage sections show how external tools connect to Vitark. You can review connected applications and usage alongside the rest of your account.
Credits, billing, and preferences
Plans show the available credit packs. The referral section gives you a code and a link to share, and purchase history keeps earlier orders together. At the bottom, choose your preferred language or sign out. The profile menu also offers light, dark, and system appearance, so you can adjust the workspace to suit the way you read.
From question to source
From the first question to the original judgment, Vitark keeps research, sources, and saved work together. That is the Vitark web workspace.
